Strata is a soft ovoid cut into eleven rounded plates. Each plate sits on a deep shadow neck, and the plate centres wander a few millimetres off the axis as they climb, so the stack reads as placed by hand rather than turned on a lathe. The spire closes the top; you never see the light source, only the ledges catching it.
Designer’s note
We wanted a stacked lamp that did not look like a pagoda. Letting the plates drift on a slow S-curve did most of the work — the eye reads intention in that asymmetry. The necks between plates are grooves, not cuts, so the glow stays even and there are no bright bands. We kept the first plate wide enough to hide the puck from a seated eye line; it is the one dimension we would not trade.

- Two-wall shell, ≥ 1.2 mm; solid ledges. Printed in one continuous piece per part, no supports, no glue.
- Light source
- Designed around a Ø80 mm LED puck light (USB or battery), which pushes up into the base ring from below. Light source not included — LED only, never incandescent or halogen.
- Light on the wall
- Even glow through the plates; a faint band of shadow at every neck.
- Lead time
- Made to order, 2–3 weeks. Orders this week start on Monday 21 September and ship by 16 October.
- Care
- Dust with a soft dry cloth or a cool hair-dryer. Keep away from direct sun and heat above 50 °C. Indoor use.
