A proper mushroom: a Ø210 mm dome that overhangs its stem, built the way the classics are built — as a separate cap that sits on a spigot at the top of a tapering translucent stem. The stem runs up inside the cap and lights it from within; a small vent in the crown throws a pool onto the ceiling.
In development — first test print pending. Price to be confirmed.
Designer’s note
A single print cannot make a cap that overhangs its own stem, so this is two. The dome is shaped from a prescribed overhang curve rather than a hemisphere, which is what lets it print upside down without supports. It is still in development — the first test cap goes on the printer before we finalise the price.

- 1.2 mm cap shell, single-wall stem. Printed in one continuous piece per part, no supports, no glue.
- Light source
- Designed around a Ø80 mm LED puck light (USB or battery), which pushes up into the base ring from below. Light source not included — LED only, never incandescent or halogen.
- Light on the wall
- Downlight under the cap; a ceiling pool through the crown vent.
- Lead time
- Made to order, 2–3 weeks. Orders this week start on Monday 21 September and ship by 16 October.
- Care
- Dust with a soft dry cloth or a cool hair-dryer. Keep away from direct sun and heat above 50 °C. Indoor use.

Orders placed this week go onto the printer from Monday 21 September. Most shades are a single eighteen-to-twenty-hour print.
